A facility represents a venue or a room for an Educational Institution’s campus account.
Facilities will be linked to Sessions via the Session Time object.
To assign or update facility for Session Time (via the Session Scheduler), see here.
|Account||Looks up to the Campus account.
|Parent Facility||An optional field to group a facility under a parent facility (e.g. a room inside a building).
|Capacity||Used to record the capacity of this facility, e.g. a lecture hall with 100 seats.
|Facility Type||Used in Session Scheduler to identify the suitability of a facility for the selected Session record.
These fields are part of the Housing extension package, and should be included in the Facility Type picklist (if using this extension package).
They refer to the residence/accommodation that will be allocated to students.

When a Facility is created/updated, a new Resource will be created and linked to the Facility relatively if there isn’t one yet. The Resource will have the following info:

|Resource Type||Link to a resource type record called “Location” (this will be created automatically if it does not exist).
