Steps to complete the challenge

RIO University is preparing for new student intakes. While the existing students will continue under the original Study Plan Structure, some minor adjustments are required for the new cohort. Instead of creating a new Study Plan from scratch, the admin can make use of the Study Plan Clone feature.

This allows the admin to duplicate the original Study Plan while updating key details, such as the plan name, study program, and whether to include related pathways, study plan options, or existing unit requirements.

As the Program Administration Officer, you are required to clone the existing Study Plan for the new intake.

  1. Click on the 'RIO Challenge v4' tab at the bottom left of the page. Click on 'Initiate Challenge' to generate the data required for this challenge.

  2. From the App Launcher, search for ‘Study Plans’.

  3. Select the list view ‘C01.07 - Study Plan Setup’. Click to open ‘C01.07 - RIO Undergraduate Program Plan’ created for this challenge

  4. Observe the Study Plan's name, Study Program, and total required credits.
Then, navigate to the ‘Configuration’ tab and observe the Study Plan Structures, Study Pathways, and Study Plan Options.

  5. Let's clone the Study Plan.
In this new version, we would like to reduce the total required credits, and not provide the options for students to select a minor.

On the Study Plan record, click on the ‘Study Plan Clone’ button.

  6. Update the details as below:
Study Plan Name C01.07 - RIO Undergraduate Program Plan (Cloned)
Study Program C01.07 - RIO Undergraduate Program
Study Pathways C01.07 - Full-Time
Study Plan Options <<select none>>
Clone Child Study Plans <<select none>>
Include Existing Study Plan Unit Requirements <<select none>>

  1. Click ‘Clone’.

Then, update the total required credits to ‘100’.

  2. Observe the Study Plan Name. Then, navigate to the ‘Configuration’ tab and observe the Study Plan Structures, Study Pathways, and Study Plan Options.

Notice that the Study Plan Name is updated accordingly, and no Study Plan Options are available, as configured earlier.

Congratulations, you have completed the challenge!

  3. Click on the 'RIO Challenge v4' tab at the bottom left of the page, and click on 'Complete Challenge'.
