Grading Period Setting
This object allows user to define when faculty can grade students' Sessions.
For example, you can set the grading component to be unlocked during the mid-terms, in order to grade students for their mid-term exams.

Important fields

| Grading Period Setting Name | Name of this record. |
| Term | Lookup to the related Term. |
| Course Offering | (v3.11) Lookup to the Course Offering. This allows individual Courses to have different Grading Period, instead of inheriting the one from Term. |
| Session |
(v3.17) Lookup to the Session. This allows individual Sessions to have different Grading Period, instead of inheriting the one from the Course Offering. |
| Grading Period Type |
A picklist denoting the type of Grading Period.

| From Date | The start date this setting takes effect. |
| To Date | The end date this setting takes effect. |
| Current |
Check/tick this checkbox to override any existing Grading Period Type, and make this specific Grading Period Type as the current one instead. If checked, other Grading Period Settings for that same Termor Course Offering with Current = checked will be updated to ‘unchecked’. Only one Grading Period Type can be 'Current' at any given moment for a particular Term. |
| Status |
A formula field. If today is between the "From Date" and "To Date", the Status will be 'Unlocked'. Otherwise, the Status will be 'Locked'. |
| Status (Override) |
A picklist of the status of this record.

| Allow Notes | A checkbox. It allows faculty to add notes to grade. |
| Allow Regrade Request | A checkbox. It allows faculty to add regrade Grade Change Request. |
| Allow Resit Request | A checkbox. It allows faculty to add resit Grade Change Request. |
