Study Offering
Introduced in v3.12 as part of Continuing Education, the Study Offering object allows you to offer short courses, certifications, bundled courses, as well as events and workshops.
A Study Offering can be offered as a standalone course, or alternatively, it can also be linked to an existing Course and/or Course Offering.
A Study Offering can also be offered as a bundle, whereby multiple courses are offered together in a single package (see: Study Bundle).
Here is an example of a Study Offering (Offering Type = Course). It is linked to a Course and Course Offering, thus, it is offered as a standalone Course (rather than the whole Program).
Guests are allowed to register via the Community/portal (Allow Guest Registrations = True).

Once a Study Offering's 'Listing Status' is approved, the Study Offering will be listed on the Student Community.
The 'Other Info' segment allows you to configure the background image and description.
- How it will appear on the listing in the Student Community:
- The detail page of a Study Offering in the Student Community:
Image for the Study Offering
The image URL comes from a file, which must be 1500 x 1300.
This will serve as the image of the Study Offering when viewed in the Student Community.
As of v3.14, there is a simplified method to obtain the URL (see the TDTM here).
- Go to the Files tab.
- Upload a file (1500 x 1300).
- Edit the File details and check "Generate Public url".

- The "Public Url" field will be populated with the URL of the image.
Then, copy and paste the Url into the Study Offering record's "Listing Image URL" field.

As for displaying the Study Offering on the Student Community, several Lightning Web Components will be used:
-
To list Study Offerings and allow students to search/filter them:
(Consider building a new page on the Student Community, e.g. 'Short Course Listing'.) -
To display the details of an individual course:
(Consider building a new object page for Study Offering on the Student Community, and place these components on the 'Study Offering Details' page.)
