Overview What will be evaluated

Overview

This module revolves around setting up Discipline Requirements.

These are the group of Courses that are required to be completed for a Program Discipline (i.e. Major/Minor).

Here are the relevant reading materials or guides that you may refer to:

  • Discipline Requirement‍.
  • Program structure.

What will be evaluated

You must create the following data and upsert it into your instance.

In the previous task, Program Disciplines were created for each Major and Minor.

Notice that in the 'Program Course (Major/Minor)' tab of the spreadsheet data, each Major/Minor contains a group of mandatory Courses, and a group of optional Courses.

Thus, each Program Discipline must have Discipline Requirements for both groups, with the right amount of credits that needs to be earned to complete them.

  • The name of each Discipline Requirement group must be the same as their parent Program Discipline (e.g. Major in X, Minor in Y, etc.).

  • Take note that students need to do both Discipline Requirement groups.

  • Even though one of the group contains optional courses, students must take courses from that group. Thus, the optional group itself must be required.

Each group must contain the individual Discipline Requirements for the Courses that belong under it.

  • Take note which Discipline Requirement (Course) should be mandatory, and which are optional.

For a generic example, see: Master Data Template Guide - Discipline Requirement.
