Public Sessions

As of v3.15, the RIO Ed - Calendar (Aura) component, which is used on the “My Sessions” calendar on the Student Portal, can be configured to show public Sessions.

First, create a Session record and define a value for its Public Calendar Label.

Note that you can add any values you wish to this picklist, by going to the Object Manager for the Session object, and adding your own values.

For example, you want this Session to be visible to all students.

Also make sure that all the students' Contact records also have a matching value for their Public Calendar Label.

Note: 

If you wish only specific students to be able to view certain Sessions on their calendars, then, make sure that both the Session and Contact record have their own unique Public Calendar Label.

Then, ensure that the RIO Ed - Calendar (Aura) component has the attribute “ Show Public Calendar Label Sessions ” enabled (TRUE).

Do the same for the RIO Ed - My Program (Aura) component and enable that attribute (TRUE).

With these enabled, any student who has a matching “Public Calendar Label” will be able to see the Session on their calendar in the Student Portal.
