Overview
Introduced in v3.24, the Curriculum Management module refers to the ability to define, manage, and track the educational goals that students are expected to achieve throughout their learning journey. It provides a structured framework for aligning curriculum, assessments, teaching activities, and student performance with measurable learning objectives.
This module enables educators and administrators to create standardized learning outcomes at different academic levels (e.g., program and course), map them to assessments and instructional content, and monitor achievement progress over time. By centralizing learning outcome management, RIO Education supports outcome-based education (OBE), continuous quality improvement, accreditation compliance, and data-driven academic decision-making.
There are two main areas to this module: Learning Outcomes and Course Attributes.
Learning Outcomes: Learning Outcomes represent specific knowledge, skills, and behaviors students can gain by completing the Program and its related Courses.
Course Attributes: Course Attributes represent building blocks of a Course, like Lesson Plans, Reading Lists or other objectives that come together to provide a clear explanation of what a Course consists of and how it is delivered.
