Description

When a Course Connection is inserted or updated, this trigger will find the best attempt for repeated Course attempts, and set the others to Ignore for GPA (where applicable).

Eligibility

For a CC to be considered in the comparison of attempts, it must have the required fields for checking the grade result. The CC must:

• have the Academic Program and Program Enrollment lookup fields populated, or
• be linked to a Study Registration

and:

• be linked to a Course Offering, or
• have one of the following bypass grade results:
  • RPL
  • Credit Transfer
  • Waiver

If the CC is being inserted, it must have Release Grades enabled..

If the CC is being updated, the update must either enable Release Grades as part of the update, or at least one of the following fields must have changed as part of the update:

• Grade Setting Type
• Grade
• Grade Value
• Grade Result (and is one of the bypass grade results listed earlier)
• Credits Attempted
