Deployment Checklist
Get ahead of your deployment with our list of items to activate and check.

Check Sharing Settings | Consider the external sharing settings - e.g. ensure that Account is not set to public for external users. |
Check Sharing Rules |
Review custom sharing rules to ensure we do not open access unnecessarily to external users. |
Deactivate Email Deliverability |
Ensure that this is turn off if you are deploying community - to avoid the welcome email being sent out. |
Deactivate community |
Ensure the community is deactivated during deployment. |
Deactivate Welcome Email |
Ensure the welcome email is deactivated during deployment. |
Set Community Email Sender From Name |
Set the name of the sender from community email - this will appear in the welcome email when a student self-registers as "From". |
Set Community Email Sender From Email Address |
Set the email address of the sender from community email - this will appear in the welcome email when a student self-registers as "From Email". |
Ensure the right members are assigned to the community |
Set the right members for the community e.g. ensure only profiles that are allowed to access the communities. |
Ensure Images are linked |
Deployment of community assets does not guarantee the image links. Login in as a test community user and go through the pages to identify any broken image links. |
Update URL links |
If you have setup URL links in rich text fields that points to different pages in the community, please ensure that you update them. The domain between sandbox and production. |
Activate Flows |
If you have flows (as forms) setup in community, ensure that all the relevant ones are activated else, they will be displayed in error. |
Once deployment is completed, activate community |
Community needs to be activated once go-live. |
Once deployment is completed, activate Welcome Email |
Activate this to ensure that the community users gets the email when self-registering. |
Once deployment is completed, activate Email Deliverability |
Activate this to ensure that the email deliverability is working as usual. |
Guest run flow permission |
If you have built a flow for guest user, please ensure that the "Run flows" user permission is enabled in the guest user profile. |
Guest file upload permission |
Ensure you have enabled the "Allow site guest users to upload files" setting if you are collecting documents as guest user. |
Community user file access |
Ensure that you have enabled the "Set file access to Set by Record for files attached to records" if you want to allow community users to files related to them. |
Self registration default account |
Ensure that you have defined a default. |
Default record ownership |
Ensure that you have specified a default record owner if you allow guest user to create records. |
Files size and types |
Ensure that you have specified the maximum file size and file types that could be uploaded by community and guest users. |
Digital experience sharing set |
Ensure you have configured the sharing set if you want to allow community users to edit any record related to them. |
