Got an idea to improve RIO Education? Great, we love it when our users share with us. Here is a quick guide for you to understand the process.

If your request is confirmed as a bug, we will prioritise the fix and communicate the patch release with you.


If your request is an enhancement/new feature request, we follow a different process, outlined here.

Please work with our Product Specialist to:

  1. Describe the functionality or improvement required for a specific area. 
    1. Screenshots or a recording (without live data) is the best.
  2.  Explain the pain point. 
    1. For example, UI/UX issue, navigation issue, time required to complete the steps, etc. This will help us to prioritise.
  3.  If you have any workarounds or an interim solution you believe we can provide that is a plus.

Once the above exercise is completed, our Product Specialist will document your request and provide you an issue request number.

This will then go into our product team review cycle. The RIO Education product team has a monthly review cycle. We release 4 major releases per quarter and several minor releases for bug fix. When a request is raised, our product team will consider the following:

  1. Is this a common request we have seen from other customers?
  2. Is this a general use case for SIS?
  3. Can customisation resolve this issue?
  4. Will this feature be useful for other customers?

If your request is included in the next major release, we will update you.
