New component features aren't working after upgrading
Steps to resolve the issue when new lightning component (LWC/Aura) changes do not appear after upgrade.

Overview
Some of the components (LWC and Aura) for RIO Education come with custom configuration options, accessible in the page editor on the right-hand side:

Whenever you drag a component onto a page, some of these configuration options will have default values.
The problem comes when new options are added in newer RIO Education versions. These new options and default values might not be applied immediately to your existing page configurations. This is technically a Salesforce feature, as it ensures your custom configurations are not overwritten. But sometimes, we want those new default values to apply - otherwise you can't access the new features!
There are two ways to fix this issue.
Option 1: Remove the new default values, then add them back to the component
Steps:
1. Click on the component you wish to update
2. Find any new configuration options that have been added. These will usually be near the bottom of the list. You can see a list of new configuration options and in which version they were added on the relevant component's page on this website. You can search for the component by name in the search bar.
3. Remove the default values.
- For textboxes, clear the value.
- For checkboxes, you may need to click or unclick the default checkbox value.
4. Save the page.
5. Set the values back again.
6. Save the page.
Option 2: Remove the component, then add it back to the page
Because this issue only affects components that are already on pages, you can add a new component onto the page and all the default values will automatically be applied correctly. This option works great if you haven't made any customisations, as you don't need to look for the new configuration options.
Steps:
1. Click on the component you wish to remove, and click on the trash can icon to remove it

2. Drag the component back onto the page
3. Update it with any custom configuration options you previously had (if needed).
4. Save
